HOW TO START: Well Care Home Care starts with our Initial In-Home Care Interview. Even when you are close to a senior family member or child, it can be difficult to know their specific needs. And in some cases, they might be apprehensive to mention their more personal needs. The complimentary, initial in-home care interview with a Well Care Home Care consultant can help you survey & choose your options. Together, we will discuss your loved one's needs and our services to determine what is best for your entire family. WE WILL DISCUSS TOGETHER: Your family's specific goals Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule Pricing and payment methods Implementation process Ongoing communication and follow-up plan COMPANION CARE Our companion care line of services offers daily companionship and assistance with daily living activities. If your loved one is living alone and your visits are limited, social interaction becomes very important to their happiness and helps prevent feelings of isolation and depression. Whether they need a little fun or maybe just help keeping house and running errands, we have you covered with home care activities such as: Caring companionship and conversation Help with hobbies (scrapbooking, games, gardening, sports, news) General shopping and errands Transportation to appointments Help with housekeeping (laundry and ironing, vacuuming and dusting, meal preparation, washing dishes, caring for pets and plants) CARE SERVICES Light Housekeeping Meal Preparation Medication Reminders Monitoring Mobility Dementia Care Companionship Errands/Shopping Doctor / Appointment Transportation SERVICES THAT CANNOT BE DONE SKILLED CARE-We cannot offer services that can only be performed by a registered nurse such as: wound care, injections, enemas, therapy (speech, physical, occupational, etc.) and other medical procedures. HEAVY LIFTING-We can assist clients who use walkers or wheelchairs & do transfers, but we cannot lift dead weight without assistance. MASSAGE-We can escort a client to a certified massage therapist or physical therapist. We cannot give massages. MEDICATIONS-We cannot administer medications. We can only remind clients to take prescribed medications. NAIL TRIMMING-We cannot cut or clip finger nails or toe nails. We can escort a client to an manicurist. HAIR CUTTING-We cannot cut or trim hair. We can escort a client to a hair salon. SHAVING-We cannot shave or trim facial hair with a bladed razor. We can assist a client with an electric razor or we can escort a client to a barber. HEAVY HOUSEWORK-We cannot perform heavy housework such as window cleaning, floor scrubbing or lawn maintenance. We can only perform light housekeeping. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES-We cannot perform any medical procudures. We can only call 911 & stabilize the surroundings to avoid further injuries.
